Tad Carpenter // Carpenter Collective

An illustrator with an authorial approach, Tad heavily influenced one of my major projects, so I thought it was only appropriate to look at his work for my blog. His illustration skills manifest through his work by his confidence as a designer and some of his success is because of his ability to do handle a job in its entirety.

"In our current design profession, you are a visual communicator as opposed to just an illustrator or designer. So many of us are wearing multiple hats. The diversification of the work motivates me."

The Carpenter Collective

Carpenter Collective is led by partners, Jessica and Tad Carpenter. The pair have been collaborating together since the day they met in design school over a dozen years ago. Since then, they’ve earned a national reputation for creating powerful brand experiences and unique visual storytelling with a whimsical wink.

They specialise in brand strategy, this is something that I’m really interested in learning. Because from what I learned, a brand is more than just a logo. Below are just a few examples of their work so far.

Finding out about the carpenter collective was a surprise, but it is definitely something that I want to consider doing in the future. From what I saw, Tad and his partner Jessica recognises the investment from building personal relationships with clients.
